Law Program: “Aljahani,” “Al-Obaidi,” and “Khattab” Reveal Zionist Violations in the War on Gaza
The Law Program at the School of Human and Social Sciences organized a panel discussion titled “International Legal Violations in the War on Gaza” on the evening of Saturday, March 2nd, 2024. The panel discussion featured the participation of several human rights activists, legal experts, and observers of the war on Gaza.
The representative of Libya at the International Criminal Court, Professor Dr. Ahmed Aljahani, delivered an insightful dialogue, highlighting his speech in The Hague and condemning the Israeli aggression on Gaza. Dr. omima Khattab, a member of Amnesty International in London, elucidated the international legal concept of collective punishment crimes. Additionally, Professor Mahmoud Al-Obaidi, Director of the Benghazi Administration for Liberties and Human Rights, also participated in the discussion.
The session included interventions and questions from experienced legal professionals, academics, and human rights activists in attendance. The session concluded with an agreement to address legal topics through periodic monthly panel discussions.
