Law Students on Field Visit to the Criminal Court

The Law Program at the Faculty of Human and Social Sciences enhances its distinction, proving that it will be a valuable addition to the rich and historic legal framework in Libya.

In a bid to connect theoretical knowledge with practical application, law students attended sessions of the First Criminal Circuit at the Benghazi Court of Appeal, held at the Al-Kuwaifia prison.

Upon the conclusion of the sessions, students engaged with questions, and Judge Dr. Fatima Al-Masri, the head of the circuit, along with the other judges and the court clerk, generously connected the procedural aspects of criminal law with academic insights. This interaction fostered an engaging environment for students to take notes under the supervision of the college’s vice dean and the law program director, Dr. Mohamed Ben Sleem, along with faculty members, including Dr. Ashraf Qadhafi, the visit coordinator, and lawyers A. Abdul Wahid Al-Lafi and A. Jamila Al-Tarhouni, who provided invaluable support and encouragement to the students.

We extend our sincere gratitude and respect to all judicial police for their warm hospitality and organization, and we look forward to more field visits for law students at the International University.
