In line with its commitment to promoting interactive learning methods and developing critical thinking skills, the Faculty of Human and Social Sciences organized a series of student debate sessions yesterday, Sunday, June 7, 2026. Held at the Mujahid Ahmed Al-Sharif Al-Senussi Hall, the debates were part of the “Introduction to Law” course taught by faculty member Ms. Raghad Al-Oreibi.
The students actively participated in debates tackling several contemporary legal and societal issues, including democracy in Libya, birthright citizenship, mandatory vaccination, and gun control.
This event aimed to enhance students’ skills in legal analysis, argument building, and public speaking, while fostering a culture of dialogue and mutual respect for diverse viewpoints.
The Faculty of Human and Social Sciences continues to support educational activities that encourage critical thinking, constructive dialogue, and active student engagement.
