The Faculty of Human and Social Sciences Visits the Commerce & Development Bank: “Islamic Finance Diploma” Tops the Agenda

In alignment with the recommendations of the recent conference on matching academic outcomes with future labor market demands, and reinforcing its commitment to institutional partnerships that bridge academia and the banking sector, a delegation and students from the Faculty of Human and Social Sciences visited the Commerce & Development Bank (BCD).

The delegation was warmly received by Mr. Waseem Al-Zwei, Chairman of the Board of Directors, and Mr. Abdulsalam Ajdeed, the Bank’s General Manager.

The Faculty delegation included:

  • الدكتور محمد أحمد بن سالم – Dean of the Faculty.
  • الدكتور أحمد الفيتوري – Vice Dean and Director of the Finance and Banking Program.
  • Mr. Zouheir Bousnina – Director of the Business Administration Program.

The meeting focused on several key areas of joint cooperation, most notably:

  • Exploring potential collaboration regarding the Islamic Finance Diploma.
  • Supporting field training and internship opportunities for the Faculty’s students within the bank.
  • Discussing avenues for academic and professional cooperation to help develop financial education outcomes and align them with modern labor market needs.
