In order to promote the values of goodness and solidarity, the international university continues its volunteer activities. Yesterday, on Thursday, June 22, 2023, students from the Pharmacy and Business Administration contributed to the preparation of food baskets on the occasion of Eid al-Adha.
The total number of food baskets prepared by the university students since the beginning of the week reached approximately 500 baskets, including food items and cleaning supplies, for the benefit of the Benghazi Al-Amal Foundation. The foundation is responsible for this program and distributes these items to needy families registered with the organization.
The Community and Environmental Service Office works on providing volunteer opportunities for students to accumulate volunteer hours in cooperation with several institutions working in this field. This is aimed at promoting volunteer and community work, which stems from the university’s social responsibility. It plays a role in building the community, promoting social cohesion among its members, and strengthening the student’s connection to their community’s issues. Moreover, volunteering is a good choice for gaining valuable experiences that have positive outcomes for the volunteer themselves.
