International University Enhances Partnership with Civil Society Institutions for Innovation and Community Service

The international community is enhancing its partnership with civil society institutions in line with the policies of the Libyan International University. This aims to create a suitable environment to support students, faculty members, and university staff in innovation and creativity, and to enhance the university’s role in harnessing the knowledge economy and entrepreneurship for the benefit of society and sustainability. To achieve this, effective communication channels and sustainable cooperation with various institutions at home and abroad are being provided.

On Thursday, February 1, 2024, the National Unity Hall witnessed the signing of a memorandum of cooperation with a number of civil society institutions, including the Medical Society for Clinical Nutrition and Food Sciences (Mscnfs) and the Libyan Medical Society for Nutritional Support (LMSNS). The purpose of this collaboration is to strengthen cooperation, partnership, knowledge exchange, and implementation of joint projects that benefit the community. The signing ceremony was attended by the President of the Libyan International University, Dr. Mohamed Saad, the Director of the Quality Management Department, Niral Bougarara, and the Director of the Community and Environment Service Office, Wahiba Al-Hassi. Representatives from the mentioned associations, such as
Dr. Mohamed Zalawi, Dr. Ali Al-Fakhri, Dr. Ahmed Al-Sha’ari, and Dr. Areej Bougrin, were also present.

In the same context, another memorandum was signed in the field of entrepreneurship with the organization Spark. The signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Mohamed Saad, as well as the directors of programs in the School of Social and Human Sciences, Dr. Sabri Al-Karghali and Mr. Omar Lias. Representatives from the organization, Ms. Inor Hussein and Engineer Ibrahim Al-Sheikh, were also present.

The signing of these memoranda reflects the university’s commitment to active participation in society and strengthens its role as a leading educational institution in promoting community development and achieving social balance.
