Youth Economic Research Program for Libyan University Students

Attached is an email addressed to university students interested in participating in applied economic studies projects through the World Bank.

This pilot initiative is a World Bank project being implemented in Libya by the Mediterranean Louis platform, in cooperation with the Union of Mediterranean Universities (UNIMED).

The main objective of the project is to provide a comprehensive platform for young Libyans to think about about and contribute to the discussion of economic development potential in Libya. The project will start by building a network of researchers that the World Bank can consult on issues related to the Libyan economy. A group of youth from Libyan universities belonging to the Union of Mediterranean Universities will be selected to participate in a series of training courses and ultimately prepare a report on the discussions and implications of the policy dialogue.

Interested students should contact their college registrar or student activities coordinator.
