Launch of the Career Opportunities Seminars Series

On Sunday, June 28, 2026, the English & Global Communication Program launched its Career Opportunities Seminars series, organized by Academic Advising at the National Unity Hall. The initiative aims to introduce students to career paths related to their fields of study and provide them with opportunities to benefit from the expertise of specialists across various professional fields.

The series opened with a seminar entitled “Career Opportunities in Translation & Interpreting,” delivered by Dr. Nafea Al-Tishani, a professor at the University of Benghazi with extensive academic and professional experience in translation and interpreting. During the seminar, he discussed the current state of the profession, key employment opportunities, and the skills students need to succeed in this field.

The seminar was attended by the Program Director, Dr. Khadija Abu Aroush, and the Academic Advising Coordinator, Dr. Franca Bodo, alongside several faculty members and students from the program. The session featured fruitful interaction and engaging discussions between the speaker and attendees.

This seminar marks the beginning of a series of sessions, each featuring an expert or specialist from a different field. The series aims to broaden students’ horizons, familiarize them with potential career paths, and help prepare them for the job market while strengthening their professional readiness.
